Kelley brought the meeting to order. She discussed the Jan. 2019 program “Social Media in HR” presented by Sean Ray, Attorney at Law. There was good feedback from the seminar. Rheanna mentioned that she distributed the program surveys to the group prior to the end of the program and had a very good response rate. She plans to make this the process with future programs.

Kelley reminded the group about the upcoming Labor and Employment Law Conference with Stoel and Rives Law firm. It will be held at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland on Feb. 2th. Kelley mentioned that it is a great conference and encouraged folks to try to attend.

Kelley announced the free ticked to the Stoel and Rives Law Conference that was given to our chapter by the State SHRM Chapter was raffled off as a DC SHRM chapter fund raiser for the SHRM Foundation. The winner of the raffle was Rhonda Amer.

BOLI Manager Training. Kelley updated us on the BOLI training that our chapter is hosting in April. She showed us the new updated flyers. They were able to add all the sponsors and other information on a single page.

Robyn asked if BOLI is going to provide paper handouts or a jump drive. Kelley was not sure. Leanne is our BOLI contact so Kelley will get the details from her and report back.

Room rates were also discussed. Rheanna pointed out the reduced room rate information is on the flyer.

Rheanna reported that 39 tickets have been purchased on Event Brite so far. She reminded everyone that she is able to take checks from folks who do not have the ability to register with Event Brite.

Jonda Lorenson was welcomed as our new board member. She hit the ground running and already has our website back in compliance.

    New Business:
